Who we are

AEC Wood Art is a bespoke furniture studio operating from Sydney, Australia and Tel Aviv, Israel. This policy describes how we collect and handle the personal information you share with us, and is written with reference to the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We collect only what we need to design, build and deliver your piece:

• Contact details — name, email, phone number, delivery address.
• Project information — the configuration you build, references and notes you share, communications between you and the studio.
• Payment information — card details are entered into our payment provider’s secure form. We never see or store the full card number.
• Website usage — cookies and analytics about how visitors move through the site, used in aggregate to improve the experience. The cookie banner gives you control over non-essential analytics.

How we use your information

Your information is used for:

• Designing, building, dispatching and delivering your commission.
• Keeping you updated on the progress of your piece, including milestone photographs.
• Responding to enquiries, support requests and warranty matters.
• Improving the studio website — only with the consent you give through the cookie banner.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use your information to send unrelated marketing.

Who we share with

Limited sharing happens with:

• Freight and logistics partners, to deliver your piece. They receive the address and contact details, and nothing more than the shipment requires.
• Payment providers, who process your payment securely under their own privacy terms.
• Technical service providers that host the studio platform (cloud hosting, database, transactional email, analytics). They process information on our behalf, under written confidentiality and data-protection terms.
• Government or legal authorities, where required by law.

Security & retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to information held by the studio — access controls, encrypted transport, segregated storage for production data, and the limited use of information by people who actually need it.

Information is retained only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by Australian record-keeping law (for example, financial records). When that period ends, the information is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may at any time:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Ask us to delete your information, where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential analytics through the cookie banner at any time.

Cookies, analytics & advertising

The site uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep core features working — the builder draft, the cart, security tokens — and run regardless of your choice because the site cannot function without them.

With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising technologies provided by third-party partners — currently Google (Google Analytics), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Pinterest — to understand how the site and our advertising are used and to show relevant ads. These partners may set cookies and receive limited event information, such as pages viewed or an enquiry being submitted, which they process under their own privacy policies. Where an event we share with an advertising partner includes contact details for ad matching, those details are hashed on our server before they are sent to the partner.

You can accept or decline these optional technologies through the banner at the foot of the screen, and change your decision at any time. Declining does not affect the essential cookies the site needs to work.

Updates to this policy

We update this policy as the studio evolves. The version date is at the top of the page; substantive changes are flagged on your next visit.
